The microlepidoptera collection housed at the Museu de Ciències
Naturals de Barcelona (the Natural Sciences Museum of Barcelona, MCNB) has been
documented. The collection consists of 44 boxes with a total 7,146 specimens: 622 taxa
determined to species level, 45 to family or genus level only, and 388 undetermined specimens
of unknown origin. Most of the specimens documented and listed herein belong to
the collection of Ignasi de Sagarra. This work provides all the information available relating
to the specimens at family and genus level and, where possible, the species or subspecies
and current taxonomic situation for each taxa.
