In 2021, we published a special collection 
of Focus Experiences to commemorate 
the thirtieth anniversary of the Charter of 
Educating Cities, with inspiring initiatives 
aligned with the main updates integrated into 
the IAEC roadmap. These experiences address 
issues such as culture, the restructuring of the 
urban space to favour civic life, the promotion 
of the social and solidarity economy as a way 
for socioeconomic inclusion in the city, lifelong 
education and the protection of the most 
vulnerable groups, among others.
