During the revision and documentation of the specimens of the subfamily Diaperinae (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae) deposited in the collection of the Natural Sciences Museum of Barcelona, seven species described by Francesc Español (1949, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1954, 1955) were found to have no designated holotype in the original description despite the indications on the labels of the specimens belonging to the typical series. As per the rules of ICNZ (2003) we hereby designate lectotypes and paralectotypes for all seven species deposited in the MCNB.ca
