| Abstract: | The Corylophidae Orthoperus nigrescens Stephens, 1829, is recorded for the first time in the peninsular area, with specimens collected in the Parc Natural de la Muntanya de Montserrat (Barcelona). New records for the Iberian Peninsula of different species belonging to the families Leiodidae, Malachiidae, Corylophidae, Latridiidae and Coccinellidae are provided. The palaearctic and peninsular distribution of each species is commented on and the known data on its biology are provided. The habitus is represented and if necessary also its aedeagus and/or spermatheca.
