Collection of photographs of the early history of the Besòs i el Maresme neighbourhood. The neighbourhood began to be built in 1959 in response to the need for housing following the migratory waves of the 1950s, and occupying what had been land mainly used for agriculture, irrigated by a branch of the River Besòs and the Horta stream.
