Resum
The tenebrionid species of Eurycaulus from the Algerian Sahara, E. (Scleronimon)
koestlini n. sp. (URSULA SEITZ-KöSTLIN leg.) is described as new. The interesting novelty is defined by the following combination of characters which separate it from all
its congenerics known at present: Anterior border of the epistom as broad as the head
at the level of the eyes; pronotum very transverse, with pronounced lateral parts and
with maximal width in the posterior half; elytra strongly convex, rounded in the
anterior part, pointed posteriorly, with irregular minute granulation and without
patterns of stripes or series of points.
